We are fueled by generosity.

As an innovation leader committed to accountability, we drive impact by fostering connections between individuals and causes.

Innovation

Since 2001, when Network for Good was founded by tech executives from AOL, Yahoo!, and Cisco, we have been a leader in digital philanthropic innovation. In the organization’s earliest days, our goal was to make “giving” a frictionless activity within the emerging internet ecosystem. Since then, our infrastructure and technology have evolved to transform the fundraising landscape, enabling individual and corporate donors to raise unprecedented levels of funds.

Accountability

Network for Good accepts charitable donations from individuals and distributes those funds to donor-recommended eligible nonprofits. Our tech-enabled giving platform moves an average of $500M in donations annually from individuals to the causes they care about through our donor-advised fund. Through our secure and efficient platform, donors give confidently, knowing that every nonprofit we disburse to has been reviewed.

Impact

Network for Good empowers donors to recommend nonprofits from a wide array of causes they care about. The donations that move through our donor advised fund are delivered to nonprofits as unrestricted grants, meaning organization leaders are better equipped to serve their communities in the ways they see fit–whether through programmatic impact or operational support.

Giving by the numbers

Each year, we move money in all 50 states for causes ranging from education to disaster response.

2022

Distribution by state

The map below illustrates the varying distribution of nonprofit donations across all 50 states. California, Texas, New York, and Florida can be seen as leading recipients. Additionally, Massachusetts has surpassed Illinois in donations received compared to the previous year.

Distribution by category

Giving surged in some particular categories like human services and animal related charities. It’s difficult to map all nonprofits to a single category, however, given the multi-disciplinary strategies of many organizations. Human services nonprofits, for example, often play a key role in disaster relief and recovery.
